Types of waste
Waste is defined by the Law on Sustainable Waste Management as any substance or object that the owner discards, intends or has to discard.
Waste is considered any object and substance that needs collection, transportation and treatment, and which processing in this manner is needed necessary for the protection of the public interest.
Waste is divided and categorized by type, condition, degree of danger it poses to health, the environment and the risk of causing material damage.
Municipal waste is generated in households, as well as in manufacturing and service activities, if the characteristics and composition of this waste are similar to domestic waste.
Mixed municipal waste is waste from households and waste from shops, industry and institutions, which is similar in character and composition to household waste, from which no particular material (such as paper, glass, etc.) is extracted by a special procedure.
